How To Eat Healthy During The Holidays

This blog post will give you some useful tips when it comes to eating healthy during the holidays.

I want to show you a few tips and tricks that I use to avoid packing on extra pounds during all the holiday eating that goes on around our household.

One of the biggest things you can do to avoid packing on the pounds is to avoid the sugar heavy foods such as eggnog, pie, soda, candies etc.

there’s a lot of sugar hidden in cranberry sauces, fruit juices like orange juice, glazed ham or turkey, etc.

one of the biggest problems is that we all have become so accustomed to having her very sugar heavy foods around wearing the holiday seasons to become part of our American tradition, but if you want to maintain your weight and not pack on extra pounds this holiday season and you need to swap out your heavy sugar foods for some other healthy foods.

Try cooking with Stevia a natural 0 calorie sweetener which often times comes in a brand name called true via. This 0 calorie sweetener is a great alternative to refine sugars. If you read any of my other articles you know that I am not a big fan of sugar because it is like rocket fuel for belly fat.

Summary:

One of the best things you can do if you want to avoid packing on extra pounds this holiday season is to avoid the sugars. Try to keep your sugar intake to about 15 g per day you can. In order to do this you’re going to need to count the sugar contents of the foods that you’re eating because many foods that seem help elect orange juicer cranberries are actually packed with sugar.

Jillian Michaels Promoting Diet Pills, What The Heck?

Wow, I was just at a major department store and in the health and nutrition section I saw something that just downright surprised me!

I saw Jillian Michaels photo on a box of diet pills!

As you know, I am not a big fan of diet pills. I don’t think that they are good for you at all and they just downright don’t work and they’re the wrong approach to a healthy lifestyle.

Just go to Google and type in diet pills side effects and you’ll see all the bad things that can happen when you take diet pills in general.

Why would Jillian promote diet pills? Just seems really strange to me. I hope that is not just for the money!!!

I’ve seen this woman on the TV shows promoting great advice and helping people to lose fat and get healthy, then this, a big box of diet pills sitting there on the shelf with her picture on it.

See, the problem is there’s so much information available to us to baby it magazines on the Internet and just other people giving us advice like friends and family when it comes to weight loss and getting sixpack abs.  It can get down right confusing.

What I see people doing is trying different techniques and different tricks to lose weight and they’re not following in overall strategy and then they don’t get the results they want and they think that nothing is going to work.

If you really want to have long-term fat loss and get sixpack abs you have to follow a strategy that’s proven and you can’t simply go from one fat loss trick to the next expecting to lose your gut and get sixpack abs.

3 Tips To Lose Belly Fat

I’m going to share with you the 3 best tips that I have for my experience in losing belly fat.

  1. Nutrition, this is the most important. Think about it this way there are foods that you can put in your mouth that turn straight to fat and there are foods that help burn fat. keep your sugar intake to 15 g per day, I got this from Jorge Cruise weight-loss expert that works. Don’t eat a lot of white pasta, white bread, candy, soda, pastries, juices, etc. your daily diet in every meal should contain a lean protein, fibrous carbohydrates such as mixed green salad or broccoli, and a starchy carbohydrates such as brown rice, baked potato, or oatmeal.
  2. Weight training, weight training helps you to build lean muscle mass underbody and lean muscle mass helps you to burn fat throughout the day. The more lean muscle mass you have on your body the more fat you will burn. ladies please don’t listen to all the hype about lifting weights making you bulky it is not easy to get bulky muscles or get built like a bodybuilder this is one of the biggest myths about weight training.  There are guys who work out every day in the gym of the heavyweights and they are still skinny and this should be prove to you that lifting weights will not make you bulky.  If it were easy to get bulky and build a lot of muscle every gun gym what look like Arnold.
  3. Cardiovascular exercise, this can be running, sprinting, cycling, biking, swimming, or any other exercise. The point is cardiovascular exercise is one of the best ways to burn fat. I know a lot of experts are saying that traditional cardiovascular exercise like running is not the best way to burn fat. All I can tell you is that until I added cardiovascular exercise to the two components above I did not see the fat come off my belly. I found and currently find running to be one of the best ways to burn fat. Yes you can get cardiovascular exercise from doing many different forms of exercise other than running but I find running the most convenient and easy as exercise for anyone to do because everyone learned how to run when they were a child you don’t need any extra skill or special technique.

Belly fat comes off when you create a daily calorie deficit through  exercise. The strategy is to eat the right amount of calories in the right types of food for your individual body type into burn fat by creating a slight deficit say 20 to 30% daily in your calories through exercise. What this does is it allows your body to use your fat store for energy and when you do this you’re removing fat from your body.

I’m about to share with you the same nutrition plan or “diet” that I used to lose my belly.

First, I would like to state that there are good foods for reducing belly fat and there are definite ab foods when it comes to reducing belly fat.

Let’s start with the bad foods that you want to avoid on a daily basis.

  • Sugar, this is probably your worst enemy if you want to lose your belly and the reason is that sugar is like rocket fuel for fat storage. I can’t stress this enough sugar is in everything we eat and that is making us fat as a nation and as a whole. I learned a very valuable trick from weight loss expert Jorge Cruise, he states that you should keep your sugar intake to a maximum of 15 g per day and trust me this works I’ve tried it on my own body and help me lose fat a great deal. Sugar can be found at everything from lunch meats to orange juice and other foods that you wouldn’t expect to find sugar in so please read the labels on everything you eat so that you can reduce your sugar intake to a maximum of 15 g per day.
  • Candy, soda, pie, pastries, juices, energy drinks, etc.
  • White bread, white pasta, potato chips, etc.
  • Avoid the foods above hundred on a daily basis and you’re likely to notice a big change in your belly fat within just a few weeks.

Now, the good foods:

Each meal should consist of a lean protein, fibrous carbohydrates such as mixed green salad, baby spinach, etc., and a starchy carbohydrate such as a baked potato.

Summary

the point is that you need to feed your body right you should not be cutting calories or trying to starve yourself in order to lose your belly this is actually counterproductive because your body will catch on and actually think that you’re starving yourself and it will start to store more fat.

You want to feed your body throughout the day by eating precalculated meals every three hours from the time that you wake up in the morning. When you eat every three hours the right foods every three hours you’re supporting your metabolism and keeping it running smoothly without any peaks and valleys your body’s not going into fat storage mode.

Biggest take away here and probably hardest thing to do for most of us is to limit our sugar intake to 15 g maximum per day. I’m here to tell you that doing situps and crunches or not fastest way to losing belly fat.

In order to lose belly fat you need to lower your overall body fat percentage.

Infomercials would like us to believe that we can lose belly fat by using some new ab gadgets or sit up machine or chair.

Please, don’t believe everything you see on TV!

If you have fat sitting over your belly you can do as many situps as you want in the belly fats not going to go away.

Can You Lose Fat With Treadmills or Elliptical Machines?

Hi,

Jeremiah Baker hear the creator of how I got abs.com and the guy that lost 28 pounds of fat and got six pack abs for the first time at the age of 31 all without using diet pills ab gadgets or expensive home exercise machines.

Today I would like to put an end to all the nonsense and bad  press that elliptical machines and treadmills are getting.

The fact is you don’t need treadmills are elliptical machines to lose fat and get six pack abs, but they can be a great tool for fat loss.

The problem with these machines is that most people don’t use them properly, they read books, watch TV, or talk to a friend while using them.

If you want to lose fat or maximize fat loss have to work out hard enough and long enough or you won’t see the results that you want.

So yes,  elliptical machines and treadmills can be a great tool in your fat loss arsenal  you just have to use these machines the right way.

I generally run outside because I like being outdoors but if it is raining or too cold I will use a treadmill or elliptical machine as part of my fat loss system.

Forget all the bad press about these machines and use them if you want to, just make sure you’re using them the right way. (you have to workout hard enough and long enough, no reading books or watching tv while using either of these machines).

Three Ways To Lose Belly Fat

OK, you wanna lose belly fat and you wanna do it right.

Here are the three things that I did to lose 28 pounds of belly fat.

One, I completely changed my nutrition program and ate a maximum of 15 g of sugar per day. Every meal I ate consisted of a lean protein such as chicken breast, a fibrous carbohydrate, and a starchy carbohydrate.

Two, I used a full body weight training exercise regimen to build lean muscle which helped me to burn fat throughout the day.

Three, I used cardiovascular exercise to create a daily calorie deficit of about 20% of my total needed daily calories.

These three components are the core to every solid fat loss program.

Please do not listen to these commercials on television that tell you you’ll get six pack abs and lose a belly fat by doing some form of a crunch or sit-up.

The truth is that if you have fat sitting over your Abdominal muscles doing crunches and sit-ups will never give you the appearance of six pack ABS.

The best way to lose a belly fat is to follow the 3  fat loss principles that I listed above.
