If you did you’ll notice that he is pretty lean, ripped and has six pack abs.

Based on my own experience and research. Ryan Reynolds workout most likely consist of:

  • Weight training
  • Cardiovascular exercise such as running
  • A Hi protein low carbohydrate diet

I watched a few videos on YouTube where Ryan was working out for the movie Blade.

They showed Ryan doing a lot of full body high resistance weight training.

I also read an article where Ryan spoke about the fact that he ate a lot of protein per meal and that he was eating every 2 to 3 hours throughout the day.

This type of workout and nutrition program forces your metabolism and it helps your body to burn fat.  As we all know if you want to get sixpack abs and get that ripped look you need a program that is going to help you burn fat and build muscle.

From my own experience of getting sixpack abs and having single digit body fat percentage I can tell you that after looking at Ryan’s photos he follows a very strict low carbohydrate high-protein nutrition program and he is no slouch when it comes to working out.

Summary:

If you want to get ripped like Ryan Reynolds is and you want to use The Ryan Reynolds workout you’ll need to incorporate a similar workout program and nutrition program that uses.

  • Eat every 2 to 3 hours throughout the day
  • Each meal should consist of eight lean protein such as chicken breast, tuna ,etc. fiber, and a complex carbohydrate like oatmeal or wild brown rice.

You must incorporate full body, compound movement resistance training and cardiovascular exercise into your workout routine.

Important: in the video I watched on YouTube Ryan’s trainer mentioned that he works out five to seven days a week to maintain the physique that you see in the movies so if you want to get ripped like Ryan you’re going to have to be ready to put in some hard work but you can get the results that Ryan’s.

Ok, so everyone wants abs and you want them fast?

We see all the tabloid magazines with pictures of actors and celebrities with their six pack abs.

Infomercials are always telling us that in order to get  abs we need to use their ab machine or gadget that helps you do a more efficient sit up or crunch and this is how you’ll get six pack abs.

How to get six pack abs fast?”You Don’t Get Six Pack Abs By Doing Sit Ups, Crunches, or by using some fancy ab gadget!”

You see, the truth is that if you have fat sitting over your abs or you have a gut in other words, you can do as many sit-ups or crunches as you want an you wont’ lose your gut and get abs.

Here’s how you get abs, plain and simple…

Get your overall body fat percentage down into the 8-10% range. This removes the fat that is sitting over your abs and allows you to see the abdominal muscles.

The truth is that getting abs takes time. You aren’t going to get six pack abs in 2 weeks!

If you have a lot of fat to lose then it will probably take you several months at least to safely remove the fat and get six pack abs. If you are fairly lean already you can get six pack abs in a few months time in many cases.

You just have to be honest with yourself. If you have a lot of fat to lose, it’s going to take time no matter what people tell you and if you are pretty lean already, then it will take less time.

How To Get Six Pack Abs:

You see, the truth is that you don’t get six pack abs by doing abdominal or ab specific exercises. The reason that most people can’t see their abs is because they have fat sitting over their ab muscles.

The only way to get six pack abs (guys) is to lower your body fat percentage down into the single digits, usually the 8-10% range is where most guys will see their abs.

Your main goal is to get rid of the fat that is sitting over your ab muscles. I am tired of all the infomercials trying to sell us some belt or ab machine that claims to work your ab muscles better than doing a traditional sit-up.

You know what, it doesn’t matter how well those machines and gadgets work your ab muscles, because you don’t get abs by doing ab specific exercises in the first place.

We all have abs, we just need to remove the fat that is sitting over our ab muscles.

Now that you know that doing sit-ups and abdominal specific exercises are not the way to get six pack abs and that you have to get your body fat percentage down in to the 8-10 % range lets talk about how to do just that.

  1. Eat foods that will force your body to stop storing fat!
  2. Use weight training to build lean muscle mass, which forces your metabolism to increase helping you burn more fat.
  3. Use cardiovascular training to turbo charge your fat loss.

These are the same 3 principles I used to lose over 30 pounds and get six pack abs when I was 31 years old (I’m 33 at the time of writing this article). These are the exercises to lose belly fat.

The reason that most people don’t get six pack abs and give up is because they don’t have a strategy and they don’t have the right strategy and they focus on the wrong exercises to lose belly fat.

The strategy above worked for me and trust me, I tried everything for years and years with no success. It was not until I followed the strategy above day in and day out did I get six pack abs.

  2. Stability Running Shoes

Neutral running shoes are for people that have a neutral stance, meaning their ankle and heel remain straight. There’ no rolling of the ankle inward or outward. ( A neutral stance).

Stability shoes are for those of us who “pronate”, meaning our ankles and heels tend to lean inward or outward. We need stability shoes to keep our stance in a neutral position to avoid rolling and injury.

I suggest that you go to a specialty running shoe store and have them help you determine your foot type and How To Choose The Right Running Shoes for your situation. This will help you avoid injury and running will be a lot less painful for you.

Choosing the wrong type of running shoes for your foot type can lead to injury and this is the main reason that people stop that fat loss programs and go back to gaining back the fat/weight they lost in the first place.

Old Fashioned Oatmeal With Protein

Hey Guys, here’s one of my favorite six pack abs breakfast foods.

Old fashioned oatmeal with a scoop or two of whey protein.

I use vanilla flavored whey protein and sprinkle some cinnamon on it, that’s it!

This is a good six pack abs friendly diet because you get fiber, the right kind of carbs, and protein.

This is far better for you than having a bagel, pop tart, sugary cereal or something like this.

I will often make this for my mid morning or mid afternoon meal, it’s easy to make and it’s a great muscle building meal.
