How To Eat Healthy During The Holidays

This blog post will give you some useful tips when it comes to eating healthy during the holidays.

I want to show you a few tips and tricks that I use to avoid packing on extra pounds during all the holiday eating that goes on around our household.

One of the biggest things you can do to avoid packing on the pounds is to avoid the sugar heavy foods such as eggnog, pie, soda, candies etc.

there’s a lot of sugar hidden in cranberry sauces, fruit juices like orange juice, glazed ham or turkey, etc.

one of the biggest problems is that we all have become so accustomed to having her very sugar heavy foods around wearing the holiday seasons to become part of our American tradition, but if you want to maintain your weight and not pack on extra pounds this holiday season and you need to swap out your heavy sugar foods for some other healthy foods.

Try cooking with Stevia a natural 0 calorie sweetener which often times comes in a brand name called true via. This 0 calorie sweetener is a great alternative to refine sugars. If you read any of my other articles you know that I am not a big fan of sugar because it is like rocket fuel for belly fat.

Summary:

One of the best things you can do if you want to avoid packing on extra pounds this holiday season is to avoid the sugars. Try to keep your sugar intake to about 15 g per day you can. In order to do this you’re going to need to count the sugar contents of the foods that you’re eating because many foods that seem help elect orange juicer cranberries are actually packed with sugar.

Jillian Michaels Promoting Diet Pills, What The Heck?

Wow, I was just at a major department store and in the health and nutrition section I saw something that just downright surprised me!

I saw Jillian Michaels photo on a box of diet pills!

As you know, I am not a big fan of diet pills. I don’t think that they are good for you at all and they just downright don’t work and they’re the wrong approach to a healthy lifestyle.

Just go to Google and type in diet pills side effects and you’ll see all the bad things that can happen when you take diet pills in general.

Why would Jillian promote diet pills? Just seems really strange to me. I hope that is not just for the money!!!

I’ve seen this woman on the TV shows promoting great advice and helping people to lose fat and get healthy, then this, a big box of diet pills sitting there on the shelf with her picture on it.

I hope that Jillian has not gone the way of someone willing to push a product just because it sells. Not Good!

This article covers what I consider to be one of the most commonly made weight-loss mistakes that those people make

See, the problem is there’s so much information available to us to baby it magazines on the Internet and just other people giving us advice like friends and family when it comes to weight loss and getting sixpack abs.  It can get down right confusing.

What I see people doing is trying different techniques and different tricks to lose weight and they’re not following in overall strategy and then they don’t get the results they want and they think that nothing is going to work.

If you really want to have long-term fat loss and get sixpack abs you have to follow a strategy that’s proven and you can’t simply go from one fat loss trick to the next expecting to lose your gut and get sixpack abs.

You see, effective weight loss is really quite simple, you simply need to do the right things one day at a time and if you’re bouncing from one diet to the next, one diet pill to the next, one ab gadget to the next you’re not going to get the results you desire.

Can You Lose Fat With Treadmills or Elliptical Machines?

Hi,

Jeremiah Baker hear the creator of how I got abs.com and the guy that lost 28 pounds of fat and got six pack abs for the first time at the age of 31 all without using diet pills ab gadgets or expensive home exercise machines.

Today I would like to put an end to all the nonsense and bad  press that elliptical machines and treadmills are getting.

The fact is you don’t need treadmills are elliptical machines to lose fat and get six pack abs, but they can be a great tool for fat loss.

The problem with these machines is that most people don’t use them properly, they read books, watch TV, or talk to a friend while using them.

If you want to lose fat or maximize fat loss have to work out hard enough and long enough or you won’t see the results that you want.

So yes,  elliptical machines and treadmills can be a great tool in your fat loss arsenal  you just have to use these machines the right way.

I generally run outside because I like being outdoors but if it is raining or too cold I will use a treadmill or elliptical machine as part of my fat loss system.

Forget all the bad press about these machines and use them if you want to, just make sure you’re using them the right way. (you have to workout hard enough and long enough, no reading books or watching tv while using either of these machines).

Best Way To Lose Stomach Fat

You’re probably reading this because you want to learn the best way to lose stomach fat.

Hello my name is Jeremiah Baker I’m the guy that lost 28 pounds of fat and carved out six pack abs for the first time in my life at the age of 31.

Here are my tips for losing belly fat.

First, you must understand that there is no specific exercise for losing stunning fat.

I know, I know television would like us to believe that all we have to do to get a flat stomach is to use some machine for doing better sit-ups or crunches.

The best way to get a flat stomach is to lower your overall body fat percentage into the proper range.

For most men you’ll see your ab muscles when your overall body fat percentage is in the 8 to 10% range.

For most women you’ll see your abs when you get your body fat percentage down to the 16 to 18% range.

I know this goes against what we are taught on television but you must remember on TV they’re just trying to sell you some magic pill or device they don’t care if you get healthier or lose body fat they just want to make a sale.

My advice comes purely from my own experience.  I do not and will not speak about theory.

So if you want to lose belly fat you must focus on a program that will allow you to lower your overall body fat percentage.  You must also ignore all of the commercials on TV telling you that this secret to getting a flat stomach is to perform some form of and ab specific exercise like crunches or sit-ups.

How To Lose Stomach Fat

Here’ the truth about losing stomach fat!

You don’t lose stomach fat by doing sit-ups, crunches, or any ab specific exercise.  Don’t believe the hype.

You DO lose stomach fat by following a fat loss plan that focuses on lowering your overall body fat percentage.

Guys, you’ll see your abs when your body fat percentage is in the 8-10% range and women you’ll see ab muscles when your body fat is in the 16-18% range.

Focus your workout and nutrition plan on one that is going to help you lower your overall body fat.

Some of the best exercises are total body workouts. You want to focus on working the larger muscle groups in your body such as your legs and back.

Forget sitting still and working just your biceps or chest, this will have very little effect on helping your lower your overall body fat.

You need to work hard enough to burn enough calories so that your body uses your stored fat as energy (burn fat).

Summary:

If you want to lose stomach fat then focus on lowering your overall body fat percentage and forget about doing crunches or sit-ups!
