Drew Carey Lost 70 Pounds!

This is going to be a short post.

I just read that Drew Carey lost 70 pounds!  That is amazing.

The article is a bit vague, all I got out of it was that he is eating better and follows a cardio program.

I wish the article gave a bit more detail about how he lost the way so that others may be able to learn something from him.

I have a feeling that he must be on a strict “good nutrition” program where he cut out sugars and simple carbohydrates, but he is the only one that could tell us what type of program he is really on.

He looks completely different, and pretty good. The article stated that Drew Carey is 52 years old. Not a bad job for a 52 year old guy!

Three Ways To Lose Belly Fat

OK, you wanna lose belly fat and you wanna do it right.

Here are the three things that I did to lose 28 pounds of belly fat.

One, I completely changed my nutrition program and ate a maximum of 15 g of sugar per day. Every meal I ate consisted of a lean protein such as chicken breast, a fibrous carbohydrate, and a starchy carbohydrate.

Two, I used a full body weight training exercise regimen to build lean muscle which helped me to burn fat throughout the day.

Three, I used cardiovascular exercise to create a daily calorie deficit of about 20% of my total needed daily calories.

These three components are the core to every solid fat loss program.

Please do not listen to these commercials on television that tell you you’ll get six pack abs and lose a belly fat by doing some form of a crunch or sit-up.

The truth is that if you have fat sitting over your Abdominal muscles doing crunches and sit-ups will never give you the appearance of six pack ABS.

The best way to lose a belly fat is to follow the 3  fat loss principles that I listed above.

Fastest Way To Lose Belly Fat

So, you want to lose belly fat fast or learn the fastest way to do it?

First, I would like to clear up a common misconception.

There is no such thing as a specific exercise for losing belly fat. Sit-ups, Crunches, etc are not the way to lose belly fat, they simply make your stomach muscles stronger.

Now that we cleared this up, here’s how you lose the fat over your stomach.

You need a system that will help you lower your “overall” body fat.  You see most guys see their ab muscles when their body fat percentage is in the 8-10% range and women will see their ab muscles when their body fat percentage is in the 16-18% range.

You’ll lower your overall body fat and lose belly fat by following these 3 core elements.

  1. Good Nutrition
  2. Weight Training
  3. Cardiovascular Exercise

The way to lose belly fat is to build lean muscle (helps burn fat) and use cardiovascular exercise such as running, cycling, total body workouts to burn more calories than you body needs on a daily basis.

Summary:

Feed your body right so that you are building lean muscle and burn 20% of your daily calorie needs through exercise.

This way you are eating well, but creating a fat burning calorie deficit through cardiovascular exercise.
